The trip to Wallis over the Grimselpass, from Meiringen to Oberwald is very impressive. Your route passes Innertkirchen near the  Aare Gorge. Our suggestion before you reach the pass is to visit the Grimsel Water Supply dam and the Crystal Cleft.

The pass is 2165 meters above sea level. You'll find an animal park here and a crystal grotto. The pass is closed over the win-ter months and as such travel to the Schlosshotel Art Furrer in Brig is only possible in summer.
